I built this sundial from a kit.  I wrote about it before but didn’t include a photo, so here it is.  Doing the construction helped me understand the parts.  I want to put one in the garden, but it needs to be sturdier and more weather resistant than this one.  Maybe this summer I’ll get it done.  Last summer I was busy turning a slope into a rock garden.  So far it is only rocks.  The plants will go in this year.  Lots to choose from!
